So there’s this website which is apparently trying to be the web 2.0 (or are we on 3.0 now?) version of the venerable mixtape. The whole deal is that you can upload up to twelve ten-minute or less songs to it and arrange them, and that’s all. I was a little skeptical at first, but it turns out to be pretty fun. I made one, of course. Hopefully I’ll keep having good ideas for it and change it a bunch of times. More… »

It’s probably not surprising that I’m a big fan of Autechre, given that the title of this blog is lifted from their album LP5. Quaristice, their newest release, is probably the most enigmatic for me, since it departs from a lot of the traditions I’ve come to expect from an Ae release. More… »

Once again, the radio station I am part of, WRCT, is doing its “Massive Music Weekend” celebration, where we bury the entirety of the weekend after Valentine’s Day in 60 continuous hours of half-hour blocks of our favorite artists.
